# How to edit reviews in Ryviu dashboard

The feature to edit reviews is available for Ryviu premium memberships.

When editing product reviews, it is essential to maintain complete authenticity and transparency. Any edits you make should never alter the original intent of the review.

> **Info:** 💡 **Important Compliance Notice:** To stay compliant with Shopify’s guidelines and maintain your store's credibility:
>
> 1\. You **cannot** change the star rating, the review date, or the reviewer’s name.
>
> 2\. Every edit automatically triggers an email notification to the original reviewer. They will be able to review the changes and revert to the original version if they disagree.

### What Can Be Edited?

Shopify strictly prohibits impersonation and deceptive behavior. However, minor edits that improve clarity without changing the reviewer's underlying meaning are permitted. Acceptable edits include:

-   Fixing typos or grammatical errors.
    
-   Translating the review into another language.
    
-   Adding relevant photos.
    

### How to Edit a Review in Your Ryviu Account

Follow these simple steps to edit a review:

1.  Log in to your **Ryviu account** and navigate to the **Reviews** section.
    
2.  Click on the content or the **edit review icon** next to the specific review.

3.  Make your edits as needed, then click:
    
    -   **Update & send email** (if it is a real review).
        
    -   **Save** (if it is an imported review).

When you click the **‘Update & send email’** button, Ryviu will notify the reviewer by email, as shown in the photo below. The reviewer retains full control and can revert to the original version at any time after receiving the notification.
