Importing questions is a straightforward process. Just follow these steps:

👉 Step 1: Prepare your CSV file

To make sure the CSV file is correct, you should copy Ryviu questions CSV file template.

For the CSV file, please ensure the presence of the required fields:

  • product_handle: The product handle (Shopify) or slug (WooCommerce) of the products you want to import should be used. Q&A for these products should be included.

  • author: The name of your customers.

  • email: The email of your customers.

  • question: The text of questions.

  • status: "enable" or "disable"

  • create_at & answer_created_at: The format should be Year-Month-Date Hour:Minute, such as 2023-06-15 09:12.

  • answer: The text of the answer.

  • author_answer: The name of the store owner.

  • email_answer: The email address of the store owner.

We recommend using Google Sheets over Excel to edit CSV files for better handling of formatting and delimiters, avoiding import errors.
  • You can leave the fields of answer, author_answer, email_answer, and answer_created_at blank, but please include the field names.

  • If you provide an answer, you must also include the corresponding author_answer, email_answer, and answer_created_at for that particular answer.

  • If the date format in your CSV file is incorrect, questions and answers will be added to your Ryviu dashboard in real time when you import the CSV.

👉 Step 2: Import Q&A from CSV to Ryviu

  • Log in to your Ryviu account and navigate the Q&A section.

  • Click on the Import questions button.

  • Select your Q&A CSV file and click "Open".

  • Select “Replace items" to replace the existing with new Q&As in the CSV file or "Merge items" to combine existing Q&As of the product with new ones in the CSV file.

  • Click on the "Import" button.

You can also visit the live site to see how it appears in your store.
